And we need to share our story. Not with everyone but with someone. There is someone who is like you were. And he or she needs to know what God can do. Your honest portrayal of your past may be the courage for another’s future.

The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.

Will you come with me to the mountains? It will hurt at first, until your feet are hardened. Reality is harsh to the feet of shadows. But will you come?

How sweet it was for me to rid myself of those fruitless pleasures that I once feared so much to lose…You drove them from me. You the true, the sovereign joy. You drove them from me and took their place. You who are sweeter than all pleasure.

spiritualinspiration:

It’s easy to be tempted to give up on a goal, prayer or desire when it seems as if the answer isn’t coming as quickly as you would like. Yet, at these times, dare to learn how to hope even more in God. Usually, our battles seem the darkest just before the dawn. Just like a woman experiences birth pains right before the birth of her child, we too experience intense moments before breakthrough. Yet, we must not give up prematurely during these heated times.
In Hebrews 10:35 it says, “Do not cast away your confidence for it will be richly rewarded.” As faith-filled believers, we must keep hoping, keep believing and staying faithful. Many times, we are closer than we think to victory. God is faithful to His promises. When God says we will be richly rewarded for keeping our confidence in Him, that should give us a second wind, giving us fuel to keep up the faith. Don’t give up today on your dreams and your hope in God. By developing the attitude, “I’ve come too far to stop now” and learning how to be full of hope, expecting God’s favor daily, you’ll see God begin to do amazing things, even in the midst of trying times! You are closer than you think to victory. Dare to hope in God and His promises. You will not be disappointed!

“Jesus In Your Orbit”

justgenesiz:

For centuries it was thought that that the earth was the center of the universe and that all of the planets orbited around it.  However, time discovered that the earth was meant to revolve around the sun.  And, it is the earth’s relationship with the sun that makes every system on the planet work.

From the time that we are born, something inside of us tries to convince us that we are the center of the known universe and that everything revolves around us.  However, that is not the case.  We were not intended to be at the center, Jesus Christ was.  The God of heaven created each one of us to walk in relationship with Him. To live in submission and surrender, and only when that happens will everything in our life come together and make sense.

When Christ is the center of our lives, they come into balance.  Oh, there will still be difficulties and challenges, but with Jesus in view, you can deal with struggles and still have peace.  The Bible declares that Jesus Christ is God’s son, and when he is the center of your universe you have everything you need to survive.  Your life was made to revolve around God’s Son.

Heidi Baker is on the front cover of Christianity Today. Her ministry of miracles, signs, wonders, healing, compassion, mercy, and radical love is being recognized by Evangelicals. For years, she has taken in orphans, healed the sick, clothed the naked, fed the hungry, and revealed the glory of our Savior in Mozambique. Whole villages have been converted through her ministry of performing signs and wonders and preaching the Gospel. She does this all out of a passionate love for God and a genuine love for the lost. Her being on the front cover of Christianity Today, let alone in this respected Evangelical publication at all, touched my heart deeply for she is a dear hero of mine and, frankly, it is wonderful that a ministry like hers, full of the gifts of the Spirit and miraculous events, is being accepted and embraced by Evangelicals and the Church outside of charismatic circles.

That being said, I pray for the day when walking in such a ministry will no longer be for the superstars, and I know Heidi would agree with me as she has said that her generation’s ceiling shall be our floor. I pray for the day when being so intoxicated by the love of Christ will no longer be for the anointed speakers at conferences. I pray for this to become the norm.  I pray that it will not be one face on the front of Christianity Today but it shall be an army. I believe I am beginning to see it.

I am seeing a generation rising up today of quiet warriors who are battling in humility and wanting no recognition. I see a rising army of intercessors and worshippers who are going forth in the unseen battle and loving on the broken with the utmost passion. I see the nameless and faceless generation rising up. Brothers and sisters, I see this for our generation. I see this for us.

I am not praying for a new wave of the Spirit or a new stream to flow. I am praying for a people who can stand on the foundations and moves of the past revivals and awakenings and can learn from the streams of the past, but will no longer be held down by the revival they most identify with.

I see a people who can read about Smith Wigglesworth’s miracles and have their faith increased, can dive into Mike Bickle’s talks on intimacy with encouragement, come into awe of God’s power through John Piper’s ministry, but also a people who will no longer be bound by a certain stream.

I do not something new forming. I see something restored. I see the Church in Acts, which knew what sacrifice meant and embraced martyrdom, coming to be restored. I see that Church in Acts, the one that lived with such a passion for the Lord and with such power from prayer that hundreds would be converted in a day, coming to be restored. I see the Church in Acts, who were so confident in the Lord that miracles were abundant in their communities, coming to be restored. I see the Church in Acts, a people who rejoiced in their suffering and promoted no name but Jesus, coming to be restored. I see the prayer the Lord Jesus had for his people (John 17) coming to be answered.

I am not praying for a new wave. I am praying for the Church to be hungry and to be aligned with what the Spirit has been trying to do for centuries.

My eyes have seen something beautiful and in my heart I believe it. The nameless and the faceless are going to rise up. Do you see it? Do you see the Church becoming laid lovers who simply want to stand together as the Bride and live out their prayers of “Thy Kingdom Come”? I know I do. I see the Spirit of God coming upon America and purging the unhealthy aspects of our superficial pop-religion. I see the holiness of God purging out the unedifying goofiness and borderline heresies in the charismatic circles. I see the revelation of the Father’s heart taking over the cold, stagnant believers in our country. I see the Church rising up together with a radical love and in an awesome power, all for the glory of God. And the world will see us standing together and they will know us by our love. Finally, we will live in the reality of being the salt and light. Finally, people will see that we follow and live in Love himself.

I see an army rising up. A humble, obedient, passionate army who are fighting not out of duty but simply because they are in love with their King and want to expand his Kingdom. I see a generation marching forward in the unity of the Spirit and being the believers that Christ said would do greater things than him. No more will there be superstar evangelists. All you will find are disciples who take their call seriously out of their love for the Bridegroom.

Do you believe this?

I do.

Life was never a battle of resources (all that one knows and has), but it is a battle of character.
